Description

Nationals, residents and companies can participate online in special plate numbers auction or buy the plate directly if it is offered to direct purchase.

Online Instructions

• Log in with your smart card.
• Select the required transaction type (Personal for the smart card owner or Company Name for the authorized person).
• Click on "Traffic Services" and select "Special Plates Auction".
• Select the required auction from “Special Plates Auctions List" page and click on "Next" to show "Direct Purchase" page, if it is a plate purchase auction, or "Purchase from Auction", if it is a bidding auction.
• Click on "Bidding" to show the available plates list for bidding and "Review Selected Plate Info" page that includes current price, highest and lowest bid.
• Click on "Plus" to increase the bidding price or "Minus" to decrease the bidding price.
• Click on "Register" to save current bidding price as the system will show a massage indicating the bidding process success.
• Review available plates list for direct purchase from "Direct Purchase" page, click on "Add" to be added to your page and then click "Purchase" to pay the plate price as the system will move you the bank screen to pay.
• In case of establishments, the system will show payment options (payment through credit cards or payment through transfer from a bank account to another one).
• To select another auction, click on "New Entry" and repeat the mentioned steps.

Additional Information

• A variable registration fee is applicable to the participants in the auction according to General Traffic Dept. decision.
• The wining person in the auction should visit the Traffic Dept. within two working days maximum to pay the amount or will lose the right of ownership of the number. The fees will be registered on his personal number to be collected once he applies to any traffic procedure and the department has the right to take all legal actions.
• The payment can be completed by cheque to Finance Dept., Ministry of Interior (MoI) or by credit card.
• Rules and conditions of HE Minister of Interior Decree No. 6/2001 on special numbers are applicable to the auctions.
• A person can own more than one number, yet the auction committee reserves the rights to take back the auctioned number if deemed interest to do so or exclude any participant that considered violating the auction rules.
• MoI is not responsible for any technical issues in network or e-payment.

Fees

A fee of QR100 is applicable to issue a special number ownership certificate.
