Smart Registration Service at KAHRAMAA

This service enables the customer to be registered with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) automatically, once the residential lease contract has been documented with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), without the need for the customer to submit a request to move to a residence or pay the insurance. A notification will be sent to the customer confirming the creation of the request once the lease contract gets documented, and the procedures of registration at KAHRAMAA will be completed once the insurance value gets added to the first bill. A notification will also be sent to the landlord to create a transfer request to a residence on his/her property for the new tenant, based on the documented contract, and to register the tenant as a customer at KAHRAMAA.

Additional Information

  • The smart registration service enables the automatic registration of landlords at KAHRAMAA by linking and integrating its systems with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) through SAK system, whereas the landlords' database at KAHRAMAA gets automatically updated, and the new landlord is registered as soon as the title deed gets documented through transferring the data to KAHRAMAA’s system without the need to submit a request to transfer ownership of the property.
  • A notification will be sent to the new and former landlords confirming the request’s creation after the title deed gets documented, and the new landlord gets registered, which ensures the continuous updates of KAHRAMAA landlords’ data and automatic filtration of landlords’ database.
  • Linking and integrating the systems with MME and MoJ enables KAHRAMAA to inquire about all the transactions that were registered during a specific period of time. An internal system was established to automatically inquire about the lease contracts documented with MME at a rate of once every 60 minutes during working hours, and title deeds documented with MoJ at a rate of once a day.
