Description

Sponsors - persons and companies - may submit a request to the General Traffic Directorate at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) to renew the temporary driving licenses issued for the visas belonging to them.

Online Instructions

• Log in with your smartcard to the MOI e-services portal.
• Select “Traffic Services” then “Driving License” then “Renew Learning Permit for Driving”.
• Use the “Temporary License” page to specify the visa number, to which the temporary license belongs, for renewal purpose.
• Enter the 12-digit visa number.
• Click on “Next” so that the system displays the “List of Temporary Licenses” page that contains all temporary licenses associated with the visa and can be renewed.
• Select required license from the list.
• Click on “Next” so that the system displays “Delivery Options” page.
• Review recorded mobile number.
• Select delivery option for the new temporary license: by collecting it at the Traffic Department or receiving it via Qatar Post.
• Click on “Next” to move to the “Payment” page that displays permit data and fees, including delivery fees.
• Click on “Pay” to pay appropriate fees using a credit card, debit card or bank transfer (in case of establishments only).
• Click on “Print Receipt” to print the payment receipt that is displayed along with a message on successful completion of the transaction.

Additional Information

• The user shall own a smart card to use the service.
• This service can be obtained at any time, and it is completed once the transaction is done by the user.
• This service is also available on Metrash2 mobile app.

Fees

Applicable fees are as follows:

• Renewal fees: QR150.
• Delivery fees: QR20.
