Description
Owners of licensed fishing ships or boats may submit a request to the Fisheries Department to issue fishing licenses to a ship owner or captain who are working onboard a ship or boat. Qataris or those born to Qatari women working onboard fishing boats and Qataris and other nationalities working onboard ships can benefit from this service.
Offline Instructions
- Visit the Office of the Fisheries Department or a government services complex.
- Submit the following documents:
To request fishing license (ship owner / captain) for Qataris:
- Copy of QID of boat owner
- Copy of valid Small Craft Registration Certificate, issued by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC)
- Copy of fishing license
- Recent personal photo of license applicant
- Good Conduct Certificate for license applicant, issued by the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
To request fishing license (ship owner/ captain) from Qatari mother:
- Copy of QID of boat owner
- Copy of valid Small Craft Registration Certificate, issued by MOTC
- Copy of birth certificate of license applicant
- Good Conduct Certificate for applicant issued by the MoI
To request fishing license (ship owner/ captain) for Qataris regarding ships:
- Copy of QID of ship owner
- Copy of valid Small Craft Registration Certificate, issued by MOTC
- Copy of fishing license
- Copy of valid residence permit and passport of ship owner or captain
