Service Description
This service allows establishments that have registered workers to renew their residence permits for a period exceeding the total period allowed with the original recruitment approval for which they submitted, and to extend the work approval period for them to be able later to renew the residence permit at the Ministry of Interior.
Online Instructions
- Open “Request to extend a general work license (Personal Number Extension)” service, then then click on “Apply”.
- Select “QFC, Establishment Portal, Government Entities” from the ‘Login Method’ list.
- Log in to the National Authentication System ‘Tawtheeq’ using a smart card.
- Enter all the required details.
- Confirm the details and submit the application.

- Conditions:
- Sponsorship of worker must be under the applying establishment.
- No suspensions on worker QID.
- No first degree suspensions on establishment.
- Requirements:
- A smart card to verify the identity of the person authorized in the establishment to use the service through the National Authentication System “Tawtheeq”.
- Valid QID of worker.
- Health certificate of workers over 60 years of age.
- Service Submission Timings: Sunday to Thursday, from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm.
