Request to Donate Real Estate Units

Description

Companies and individuals may submit a request online to the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) to donate a real estate unit, which entails an organized legal agreement between the donor and recipient to donate a real estate unit in return for a defined amount of money.

Online Instructions

  • Login to Sak portal using your username and password on the National Authentication System.
  • Select “Real Estate Registration Services”, then “Real Estate Transfer Transactions”, and then “Gift – Real Estate Units”.
  • Add details of the first party (Donor).
  • Enter the property data, along with its current value.
  • Add details of the second party (Recipient).
  • Click on Add Attachment to attach the following required documents:
    • Copy of personal identification (QID/ Passport) for a natural person
    • Copy of valid commercial registration, establishment ID, and commercial license for a juridical person
    • Copy of valid power of attorney, in case the signature on the document is based on a power of attorney
    • Letter of approval from the district administration
    • Birth certificate in case the donation is among the assets, or marriage certificate in case the donation is between spouses.
    • Other documents (Determination of heirs / Letter from the General Authority for Minor Affairs)
  • Click on Save Attachments.
  • Pay appropriate fees and submit your request.

Fees

  • Fees will be charged QR500 in case the donation is for spouses or
  • Fees will be calculated as 0.25% of the property value, in addition to QR200 for bond fees and QR100 for scheme fees.

Additional Information

  • After the request gets submitted, this message will be displayed: The application has been submitted successfully (request number) and pending is the Department’s approval.
  • The request will be directed to the Registration Department to review the contract and specify the approval or rejection.
  • A message will be sent to all parties of the transaction with the status of the request.
  • Within two working days, the application will be approved or rejected, clarifying the reasons. In case the request is approved, the parties of the transaction must go to one of the branches of MOJ to complete the application.
  • The party’s data is verified through the QID number, along with its expiry date.
  • The user must be registered on Hukoomi portal, to be able to access the National Authentication System.
  • The transaction may be submitted by a representative, who will not be considered as one of the parties in the transaction.
  • The transaction may also be completed by visiting any of the Single Window branches affiliated to MOJ or through Sak mobile app.
