Service Description

Engineers and those practicing different engineering specialties across different private sectors may submit a request to be authorized to practice engineering with its various specializations and categories in Qatar through receiving the required professional practice certificates.

Online Instructions

• Log in to the Ministry of Municipality (MoM) website using your login credentials of the National Authentication System "Tawtheeq".
• Enter the services page of the Engineers Acceptance Committee record.
• Click on “Apply”, then “Enrollment Engineer”, entering the required information.
• Attach the following documents:
  • Copy of valid QID.
  • Copy of passport.
  • Educational certificates certified by the competent authorities.
  • CV, certificates of experience and training courses.
  • Good Conduct Certificate issued from Qatar.
  • Any other details or documents.
• Keeping CD containing documents of submitted file.
• Pay appropriate fees.

Additional Information

• MoM clarifies on its website the process plan of the service in detail and in the form of a work plan.
• You must login through Tawtheeq as an individual not as a company in order to move to the next step.
• In case of not passing the exam, the applicant may submit a grievance request to the Minister of Municipality.
• Applicants shall meet the following requirements:
• Be Qatari national or resident.
• Hold BSc degree in engineering or its equivalent from accredited university or institute.
• Enjoy full civil capacity.
• Enjoy good reputation, and not to have been convicted of any felony or a freedom restricting offense in a crime of honor or trust, unless the person has been rehabilitated.
• Pass technical capabilities test, each in his/her own specialization, in line with the terms and regulations defined by a decision from the board of directors as per the committee’s recommendation.
• This service requires 14 days to be completed.

Fees

A fee of QR300 applies.
