Description

Individuals, companies and government entities that have a status in the considered case - namely a defendant, victim, witness or plaintiff - may submit a request to the Public Prosecution to get a refund of a deposit in trust. Law firms may also use the service upon an official power of attorney issued by the Ministry of Justice. This request is subject to approval of the Prosecutor.

The request is subject to the approval of the Public Prosecution that affirms the capacity of the applicant and relation to the case, as well as the termination of the case by a decision of the Public Prosecution or a court ruling, or the lack of appeal by the Public Prosecution to the ruling.

Online Instructions

  • Login to the e-services portal of the Public Prosecution using Tawtheeq account.
  • View the “Services” menu and click on “Financial Requests” then “Request Refund of a Deposit in Trust”.
  • Select case by entering its details, then click on “Search”.
  • Fill out the application form and attach the following documents:
    • Copy of Receipt issued by the Public Prosecution
    • Copy of QID Card or Passport
    • Copy of Establishment ID (in the case of companies)
    • Copy of Commercial Registration (in the case of companies)
  • Click on “Send” to receive an SMS message confirming the request receipt.

Offline Instructions

  • Attend in person to the Public Prosecution headquarters.
  • Print out the paper form, then fill it out and submit it to the Public Prosecution.
  • Provide and submit the required, above-mentioned document and details.

  • After reviewing the request, the applicant receives a message to confirm whether the request has been approved or rejected.
  • This service is available online around the clock or by visiting the Public Prosecution building during the official working hours, from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.
  • This service requires three business days to be completed.
