Request Pet Import Permits for Hayya Card Holders

Service Description

Visitors to the State of Qatar may submit a request to the Ministry of Municipality to issue an entry permit for their permits through the service of issuing veterinary health certificates and pets’ import permits for Hayya card holders.

General Terms to Get the Service:

  • Dogs and cats must be accompanied by a valid permit, no later than 30 days prior to the animal’s arrival in Qatar.
  • Large and dangerous breeds of dogs require permission from the Ministry of Interior.
  • Dogs or cats must be equipped with an electronic microchip.
  • The visitor must take his/her pets when returning to his/her country.

Online Instructions

  • Open “Issuance of Pet Import Permits” service.
  • Select type of login by clicking on “World Cup Visitors”.
  • Enter your date of birth and Hayya card number, then click on “Login” and activate the verification code (OTP).
  • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Fill out the data in the online form.
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Copy of vaccination certificate of card
    • Copy of blood test result
  • Submit the application and choose type service (import or export cats or dogs).
  • Check your registered email address for the received system messages.

Additional Information

  • Requirements to obtain the permit are as follows:
    • Dogs and cats must be over 7 months old.
    • Your dog or cat should be vaccinated against rabies.
    • Cats should be triple-vaccinated.
    • The entry of the animal is allowed during the period of validity of the vaccination.
    • Dogs should be vaccinated against Canine Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis C and Leptospira.
    • A blood test for rabies immune antibodies (RSNT) is required.
    • The pet must wait for 90 days from the date of taking the blood sample before traveling.
