Description

Food importers and clearance companies may submit a request to the Food Safety Department at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to approve the release of detained foodstuff.

The Ports Health and Food Control Section then reviews and checks the possibility of final release of the consignments directly, or usage under special conditions.

Offline Instructions

  • Download and fill out the paper form, then print it out and submit it to the Ports Health and Food Control Section.
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Mandatory attachments: Letter from importer, copy of customs declaration and copy of detained foodstuff form
    • Non-mandatory attachments: Letter from producer, samples/quantity, copy of scientific papers and brochures/photos
