Service Description

Companies may submit a request to the Drainage Operation and Maintenance Department of the Assets Affairs Sector at the Public Works Authority "Ashghal" to discharge rejected cooling water to the Surface Ground Water (SGW) Network, where a network exists and has sufficient capacity.

Online Instructions

  • Access the service information page on the Customer Zone page on the website of Ashghal. 
  • Click on "Login to Apply" by using your National Authentication System (Tawtheeq) account, or your Ashghal account.
  • Attach the following required documents:
    • A location map (All types of requests)
    • A copy of project manager ID card and contact details
    • A copy of company registration card and establishment card
    • Discharge details into SGW Network (to discharge rejects water/brine if usage is for cooling)
    • An approval letter from Ashghal Designs Department for connection to SGW Network (including stamped drawings)
    • A service application form signed and stamped by the relevant section

Offline Instructions

Download and fill in the paper form in the relevant section, and sign it and submit it to Ashghal Customer Zone.

Additional Information


A fee of 10 Dirhams applies to discharge per cubic meter.
