Description
Individuals and companies may submit a request to the Intellectual Property Protection Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) to issue a deposit and copyright certificate.
Online Instructions
- Log in to the Investor Services, entering the username and password.
- Choose “Issue Deposit and Copyright Certificate” service from the “Copyright Services” list.
- Read general instructions, then click on “Agree”.
- Enter applicant data, then click on “Next”.
- Complete all the required information online.
- No objection letter from office or company on transfer of registration
- Review and adopt application data summary and submit your application.
- Pay appropriate fees and print the certificate.
Offline Instructions
- Fill out Deposit Certificate paper form, clarifying the details of the applicant, the work and the agent (if available), then sign it and submit it to the MOCI or one of its branches.
- Attach the following documents:
- For individuals: Copy of QID
- For companies and institutions: commercial registration
- Copy of certified power of attorney (if the application is submitted by an agent)
- Hard copy of the work to be deposited
- e-Copy on a CD
- Pay appropriate fees.

Additional Information
After the deposit application is received, it is reviewed. If accepted, a deposit fee shall be paid in order to issue the certificate and register your work in the records.
Fees
Applicable fees are as follows:
- Students: QR50.
- Individuals: QR100.
- Companies and institutions: QR400.
- Educational or research institutions: QR500.
