Service Description

This service enables the registered taxpayer appoint a representative from the General Tax Authority to help carry out tax-related transactions on behalf of the taxpayer. This service also allows to modify data provided upon registration as the taxpayer’s representative.

Online Instructions

Registration of the taxpayer representative:

  • Login to the National Authentication System (NAS).
  • Select the tax identification number that will be registered or modified.
  • Select “Taxpayer” service, then the “Register as a Taxpayer Representative” service.
  • Click on Start Now after reading the instructions that appear on the screen after choosing the service to register as a taxpayer representative.
  • Answer the questions with yes or no.
  • Enter information related to at least one manager.
  • Fill in the required information and click on "Continue".
  • Pay the fees required for registration taxpayer representative and then click on “Continue”
  • Acknowledging the validity of the data entered and submit the application.

Amendment of an Employee of Taxpayer Representative:

  • The taxpayer who is registered logs into NAS. 
  • Select the plate bearing the tax number for the taxpayer's representative.
  • Select " Amend Registretion from "My Profile".
  • Read the instructions for the amednment process and click on "Start Now".
  • Modify the required data.
  • Acknowledgment of the validity of the information entered.
  • Save and submit the application.

Additional Information

  • The taxpayer can provide other information about the experience certificate, the educational qualification, the professional certificate and good behaviour.
  • A maximum of 10 attachments can be uploaded.
  • You must have practiced tax as part of your profession for a minimum of 5 years during the previous 7 years.
  • If you do not have education degree, you must attach a tax or accounting certificate from an internationally recognized professional institution.
  • To approve or reject the request, the taxpayer must access the appointments from the “Taxpayers Management” panel, and then click on the reference button for approval or rejection.
  • The taxpayer can be registered by the representative of the taxpayer by clicking on the taxpayer to be selected so that the representative of the taxpayer can carry out the registration activity on behalf of the taxpayer.
  • An employee of the representative of the taxpayer can be registered by the representative of the taxpayer through the information panel of the taxpayer. You must choose the registration for the tax identification number for the representative of the taxpayer, and choose to register an employee by pressing add and filling out the employee registration form, and the employee’s data can be modified by clicking the editing button.
  • You can also log in as a taxpayer representative employee.
  • All data of the employee representing the taxpayer can be modified, except for the Qatari ID number and type.
