Individuals and companies in Qatar can submit a request to Ministry of Interior (MOI) to get license to organize occasions and celebrations after meeting MOI set requirements and conditions and after getting authorizing body approval on the announcement before publishing. The organizing party should abide by rules and regulations and respect prevailing habits and traditions; it also must allocate places for family. The occasion or the celebration shouldn’t extend after 2 a.m.

Occasions and celebrations licensing requirements

  • Visiting Public Guards Department three days before the event or it will be considered cancelled.
  • Allowing Licensing and Classification Exhibitions employees at the National Tourism Council (NTC) and the appointed Public Guards Department personnel to enter the place to supervise the event.
  • Notifying Licensing & Classification Exhibitions and Public Guards Departments with any adjustment in the place and date of the event.
  • The organizing body shouldn’t issue any publication without Publications and Publishing Department approval.
  • If the event is connected to more than one party, the organizing entity should get approvals from all parties and send it to Public Guards and Precautionary Security Departments.

Additional Information

NTC, the Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and the concerned security bodies have the right (according to their roles) to cancel the event in case of violating the above mentioned requirements or any other reason related to public interest without bearing any responsibility.
