Issue Permanent Registration Certificate for Big Vessels

Service Description

Companies may submit a request online on the Ministry of Transport (MOT) website to issue a permanent registration certificate for big vessels.

Online Instructions

  • Select "Application for Certificate of Qatar Registry" service from the "Big Vessels" list, available under Maritime Transport services on MOT website.    
  • Click on the "Apply" button.
  • Login in the National Authentication System (Tawtheeq).
  • Attach the following documents:
    • A formal letter from a company and a copy of ID card
    • A bill of sale
    • A ship's certificates issued by Recognized Organization 
    • A copy of commercial registration (for company)
    • A shipbuilding certificate (If under construction)
    • A certificate of deletion
    • A mortgage certificate (if applicable)
  • Pay the appropriate fees and submit the request.

Offline Instructions

  • Download and fill out the paper form.
  • Submit the abovementioned documents to MOT reception to complete the process.

  • For cargo ships (more than 1000 ton QR5 per ton and maximum QR25,000) 
  • For tanker ships (more than 1001 ton QR5 per ton and maximum QR40,000)
