Service Description

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) issues passports to Qatari nationals abroad in case of expiry or damage. This service is used by those receiving medical treatment, or studying, or staying outside the State of Qatar.

Offline Instructions

  • Fill in a new passport form and sign it.
  • Attach an original passport and two personal photos with grey background (size 3.5/4.8).

Service Center

Diplomatic and consular missions abroad in coordination with the Department of Consular Affairs at MOFA.


Additional Information

  • The form must be stamped by a mission and signed by a consular official.
  • An expired passport is sent by diplomatic bag to the Department of Consular Affairs. A mission receives a new passport along with an old one, and then they are delivered to a citizen.
  • A parent must sign the form if passport is issued for minors.

Fees

  • QR100 for issuance of expired passport (28 USD).
  • QR400 for issuance of replacement of damaged passport (110 USD).
