Service Description

Companies may submit a request online on the Ministry of Transport (MOT) website to issue deletion certification for big vessels.

A vessel shall be deleted if it is damaged or will be exported to another state and working under the flag of this state.

Online Instructions

  • Select "Issuing vessel deletion certificate" service from the "Big Vessels" list, available under Maritime Transport services on MOT website.  
  • Click on the "Apply" button.
  • Login in the National Authentication System (Tawtheeq).
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Letter from the owner for deletion request explaining reasons
    • Original Certificate of Qatar registry
    • Provisional registration certificate from new flag state or approval
    • Document proving damaged vessel
  • Pay the appropriate fees and submit the request.

Offline Instructions

  • Download and fill out the paper form.
  • Submit the abovementioned documents to Marine Regulations Department at MOT to complete the process.
