Description

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education aims to lay out a comprehensive system for evaluating students in all Qatar Schools and conduct periodical general exams in line with the best international standards to measure the degree of achieving educational competencies and execute all the capabilities and specialties needed to do so.

In order for the evaluation cycle to be completed through the schools’ tests and Comprehensive Educational Survey to specify students strength and weakness, it was important to know the state of its performance in terms of education as well as student’s performance on the global level through their engagement in international studies which helps in getting a complete comprehensive assessment.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education represented in the Students Evaluation Department executes three international exams in Qatar and they are:

• Program for International Student Assessment (PISA).
• Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS).
• Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS).
