Excisable Goods Management Request via Dhareeba Tax Portal

Service Description

This online service allows residents who want to register new excisable goods or update registered excisable goods to submit an excisable goods management request via Dhareeba Tax Portal. 

The categories of taxpayers who can submit an excisable goods management request are as follow: 

  • Taxpayers who are registered with the General Tax Authority (GTA) TAS.
  • Taxpayer representatives on behalf of the taxpayers.
  • Employees of taxpayers.
  • GTA tax officers and customs officers.

Online Instructions

  • Log in to Dhareeba Tax Portal using the National Authentication System (NAS) "Tawtheeq" account
  • Navigate to the taxpayer dashboard screen where the taxpayer must select taxpayer identification number (TIN).
  • Navigate to the home screen of the Dhareeba portal.
  • After clicking on the "Requests" tab, click on the "Create" button on "Excisable Goods Management" dashboard.
  • A taxpayer must read the instructions in this regard and click on the "Start Now" button to proceed.
  • A taxpayer will be directed to the "Excisable Goods Details" screen, where he/she must select the "Type of Excise Goods" for which a taxpayer initially registered.  
  • A taxpayer must select and fill in all the other mandatory details and attachments.
  • Click on the "Save" button. 
  • A taxpayer will be navigated to the main details page where a taxpayer can either add more goods again or click on "Continue" button to proceed.
  • A taxpayer will select "Update Registered Excisable Goods" from the instructions screen. A taxpayer must read instructions in this regard, and click on the "Start Now" button.
  • A taxpayer will be navigated to "Excisable Goods Details" screen where a taxpayer can search by "Goods Type" and update "Standard Price." 
  • A taxpayer must fill in all the mandatory fields and attach all the mandatory documents.
  • Click on the "Continue" button. 
  • After completing the other procedures, the previously filled "Declaration" screen will be displayed. 
  • In order to submit this request, a taxpayer must tick the checkbox "I declare that the information provided in this form is true and correct."
  • Click on the "Submit" button. 
  • The "Acknowledgement" screen will be displayed to a taxpayer with the application's reference number and application submission date.
  • After submitting the application, a taxpayer will receive notifications from GTA via SMS, email or a taxpayer’s portal.
