Description

Hamad Medical Corporation urges all healthy individuals to donate their blood in order to maintain various types of blood supply in the institution.

Individuals who recovered from Corona Virus (Covid-19) can contact the infectious disease unit at Hamad Medical Corporation to donate their Plasma and help save the life of someone who was diagnosed with the Virus, since their bodies do not produce large amounts of antibodies that combat the virus.

Plasma Donation Requirements and Procedure for COVID-19 Patients

  • Plasmas are taken from the donor who recovered from Corona Virus (COVID-19) and is given to the infected patient to help them combat the virus.
  • Donors can donate only after 28 days since the start of diagnosis.
  • Donors should be in good health.
  • The donor is brought to the unit and take some blood test to ensure that their plasma is healthy and does not have a negative effect on the patient who will receive it.

1- Blood Donor Center next to Hamad General Hospital (View Google Maps)

  • From 7:00 am to 7 pm (Sunday-Thursday).
  • From 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (Saturday).

2- New Blood Donor Center opposite OPD next to Surgical Specialty Center (View Google Maps)

  • From 7:00 am -1:00 pm (Sunday-Thursday).
