Service Description

Qatar's Computer Emergency Response Team (Q-CERT) at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) provides this service to IT professionals in government entities to build the workforce capability in various government entities to secure technology infrastructure of the State of Qatar. 

This is also to develop individuals associated with cyber security operations counterparts in various government entities to collaborate on handling incidents and securing information infrastructure.

The service also aims to empower technical staff in various government entities with the right knowledge to support implementation of industry standard policies and relevant controls.

This service constitutes a main initiative to provide internationally certified training programs by completing requirements of training programs. Training programs are announced to various entities through several means (such as, email) and also posted on Q-CERT website.

Additional Information

• Trainees shall have computer science or engineering background. They must show commitment to acquiring new knowledge and skills, consent to the requirements of the program and work towards fulfilling certification requirements.
• When getting the service, trainees gain knowledge and technical skills related to information security. They also acquire an internationally recognized certificate upon passing the exam and meeting program requirements.
