Cross-Registration program provides you with the opportunity to enroll at both Qatar University and Community College of Qatar (CCQ) at once and take courses that are required to earn an AA, AS or Baccalaureate degree in CCQ. The student can participate in the Cross-Registration program 4 times for the duration of the study, and all grades of the courses will be reflected at the end of semester at both institutions.

Online Instructions

 For community college students:

  • Log in to the Qatar University website and fill out the online application
  • Submit the required documents and papers in order to complete the application, or send them by mail to the following address: Admission Department, Qatar University, PO Box 2713, Doha, Qatar
  • Pay the fees.


For Qatar University students:

  • The student submits an electronic application to study courses simultaneously at the Community College in the Registration Department at Qatar University.
  • The student submits a transcript request through the self-service system (Banner) and receives it.
  • The student is informed of the approval and the student can then obtain a no-objection certificate from the registration department.
  • The student must communicate with the Community College to finish the procedures for admission to the college and to register for courses.

Additional Information

Registration conditions:

  • Official approval from the home institution to cross-register at the host institution. 
  • QU and CCQ institution will allow the host student to register in no more than eighteen (18) credit hours per semester.
  • The combined credit hours taken at both QU and CCQ per semester must not exceed the allowed hours according to your GPA.
  • The maximum number of credit hours you can register per semester will depend upon your GPA or the maximum credit hour limit policy at your home institution.
