Service Description

This service allows licensed media organizations to submit a request to obtain a license to create a special press card for journalists, via the E-Services portal of the Ministry of Culture (MOC).

License Duration: one year 

Online Instructions

  • Click on "Publications and Artistic Works Services" under E-Services portal available on MOC website.
  • Click on "Press Card License Request" from the list of services.  
  • Login by using your personal account on the National Authentication System (NAS, Tawtheeq). 
  • Attach the following documents: 
    • A QID copy of license owner
    • A personal photo of license owner
    • A letter directed to the department director by a media institution
    • A copy of previous press card (In case of renewal request)
    • A certificate of proof of authorization to sign, in case of entering as a delegate or authorized to sign (Optional)
    • Other attachments if there are any additional attachments
  • Submit the application.

  • License Renewal: QR100
  • Edit License Data: No fees needed
  • License Cancel: No fees needed 

Additional Information

  • Among the terms for applying for this service are as follows: 
    • Submission is available for individuals provided that they are Qataris.
    • Submission is available for companies or through an authorized signatory.
    • A company must have a valid license to publish a press publication or a media services office.
