The Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has announced the operation of the services of giving Zakat Al-Fitr via text messages via mobile for "Ooredoo" customers only, and also through the Zakat calculator on the website through the "Pay your Zakat" icon in the Zakat calculator available on the Zakat Fund website associated with a Hukoomi website.

The fund explained that regarding the donation via text messages, the recommender sends a text message "SMS" to the number (92229), where an amount of 15 riyals will be collected, which is equivalent to the value of Zakat Al-Fitr And then adding the amount paid on the Zakat payer’s bill or deducting it from his call credit, and the proceeds of the messages are transferred to the Zakat Fund Administration’s account.
