The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) announced today the start of the annual winter camping season for 2022/2023, which will be held in the northern and central regions of the country from November 1, 2022, to April 1, 2023. In addition, it has been decided to postpone camping in the southern regions (Sealine and Khor Al Udeid) to December 20, 2022, and the camping period will be extended to May 20, 2023, as a commitment from the Ministry to provide the best quality of services to the campers and to ensure that they are not affected by this postponement.

Salem Hussain Al Safran, Assistant Director of the Natural Reserves Department, said that the Sealine and Khor Al Udeid areas have been designated during this period to hold heritage and entertainment events that introduce visitors during the tournament period to the Qatari culture and the unique environment that it embraces, in preparation for the exceptional event in the history of the State of Qatar and region, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
