The 14th Schools Robotics Championship, organized by Qatar Scientific Club kicked off today, Tuesday, at Lusail Sports Arena, with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth (MSY) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), and Arab Robotics & AI Association. More than 1,500 students with an average of 360 teams for all competitions from 150 schools of different grades are participating in the championship.
The organizers of the Schools Robotics Championship, which consists of several categories and different competitions, seek to develop the spirit of creativity among the participants, provide a competitive environment for talented youth, honorable representation in local, Arab and international robotics tournaments, and spread the robotics culture and its role in education locally and in the Arab countries. In addition to that, they seek to assist participants interested in science and technology in highlighting their capabilities, and develop students' skills in conducting scientific research, critical thinking and problem solving.
