The Smart Qatar Program (TASMU), one of the key initiatives led by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), has announced its 2020 achievements that were accomplished in collaboration with its partners in various entities of the State and private sector. These achievements aim at building Qatar as a smart country, supporting the key economic sectors and increasing their flexibility and capability of adapting to and dealing with the economic and global changes.
TASMU Program works in line with a human-centered comprehensive plan, which aims at integrating modern technologies in the life of the members of the society from all segments according to personas identified by TASMU Program. They, for example, include businessmen, investors, merchants, government employees, retirees, mothers, workers and others.
HE Mrs. Reem Mohammed Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Society Development at MOTC, said: "TASMU strives to contribute to building a smart Qatar that is more sustainable and capable of providing an honorable life for its society, and overcoming challenges facing it. This is by investing in human capabilities and modern technology capabilities and harnessing them to develop smart solutions and applications that will transform our lives for the better by making services more accessible and more effective. This also contributes to providing a supporting economic environment that encourages innovation and investment, and that helps decision makers in acting in line with precise and comprehensive data and information."
