The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) in the State of Qatar has announced the start of the activation of the electronic system of the court deposits, starting from Sunday, February 6, 2022, as part of the works of the electronic justice project in the national initiative for developing the justice systems.

The electronic system requires that it is mandatory to provide IBAN bank account related to claimant when submitting a lawsuit registration request in all courts and request for a sentence enforcement. 

Addressing litigants and lawyers, SJC emphasized the importance of providing a bank account as part of requirements of filing a lawsuit or request for a sentence enforcement.
