The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) is continuing its efforts to host the first carbon-neutral FIFA World Cup tournament in the history of the event, and build a sustainable legacy for the generations to come. Thus, the State of Qatar will serve as a role model in organizing the major sports tournaments in the future.

In this regard, Engineer Abdulrahman Al Muftah, the SC's Sustainability and Environment Expert, has stated that the attention of those in charge of organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has focused, from the beginning of the preparation efforts for hosting the World Cup, on building a sustainable environmental legacy. He pointed out that the sustainability initiatives in the tournament projects contribute to realizing Qatar National Vision 2030.
