Qatar University (QU) officially launched its Center for Young Scientists (CYS), during the ceremony organized by the Research and Graduate Studies Sector, through visual communication technology, on the occasion of the end of the academic year 2019-2020.

QU’s CYS aims at contributing to qualify Qatari students in the fields of science, technology and mathematics, by developing their research skills and involving them in scientific research, creating opportunities for scientific participation, and enhancing their leadership, creative and critical skills, as well as encouraging entrepreneurship and freedom of innovation for them.

During the ceremony, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, QU's President, honored the distinguished members of the Research and Graduate Studies Sector at the end of the year, whose fruitful efforts contributed to supporting research fields compatible with national research priorities and the society's needs, as well as enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of infrastructure and administrative processes at a time when economic challenges are growing.
