Qatari students invited to apply for scientific excellence award

The organizing committee of the Scientific Excellence Award called on citizens who meet the conditions of participation to abide by the conditions and procedures for applying for candidacy, which are set for the period of October 3 to October 31, noting that the period of arbitration of candidacy files will start from November 1 and will continue until December 5, 2021. The results will be announced at the press conference that will be held during the second week of January 2022.

The selection of contestants from among Qatari students is made on the condition that the student is enrolled in the sixth grade of a primary school in Qatar, and the children of diplomatic staff members and students who reside with their parents outside the State during official missions, scholarship or treatment are exempted from the requirement to enroll in State schools, said Iman Swid Salem Gohar, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee in the Distinguished Primary Student Category. The average student must have received 95% or more in the last three years.

The average student must have received 95% or more in the last three years.

A student must achieve a minimum platinum competition of 90% of all ratings, or a minimum gold medal competition of 80% of all ratings and pass the interview successfully. Evaluation is based on several criteria: personality traits, development of abilities and skills, community contributions, competitions and prizes, research and scientific projects.
