Qatar Tourism has announced the launch of its "Qatar Host" tourism training program. This is the first online tourism training program in the State of Qatar.
The program aims to provide frontline professionals, such as hotel receptionists, mall security personnel and restaurant waiters, with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver service excellence to visitors whether they are from abroad or domestic visitors.
This initiative is as part of the Service Excellence program, which has been launched by Qatar Tourism, within the framework of achieving its strategic goal that is to enhance the visitor experience at every touch-point along their journey to Qatar.
HE Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, said: "We are pleased to announce the launch of the 'Qatar Host' training program. The improvement of the visitor experience is intrinsic to our tourism strategy, an important element of the country's economic diversification plan. This program will help empower frontline professionals in Qatar with the tools and skills needed to deliver best-in-class service and visitor experiences that make Qatar a leading destination."
