Qatar Chamber (QC) confirmed that Qatar leads the Arab countries in a number of global economic and development indicators, as it recorded the highest level of women's participation in the workforce at 58.3%, according to a recent study issued by the Arab Monetary Fund, followed by Kuwait with 49.3%.
The economic newsletter for June, issued by QC, indicated that Qatar ranked first in the index of economic freedom, as it ranked 31 globally among the 186 countries included in the index that assesses the extent of intellectual and economic freedom, according to the Washington Heritage Foundation report or what is known as the Heritage Foundation, published by Global Finance magazine.
Qatar ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and 27th globally in Global Peace Index for 2020, which is issued by the Institute for Economics and Peace in Sydney, Australia.
