The State of Qatar has topped the list of GCC states in the area of local logistics services and ranked 7th in emerging and leading markets worldwide, thanks to its robust performance in terms of business environment and digital preparedness, according to the annual Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index.

The Index, which is published in its annual 13th edition this year, categorizes 50 emerging and leading markets in the world in terms of their competitiveness based on logistics strengths and business environment. 

The Index this year has included the extent of the digital preparedness of states for the first time ever, and they are factors that enhance the attractiveness of these markets to logistics service providers, freight forwarders and shipping lines, air carriers, distributers and investors. The questionnaire related to the Index this year included 756 specialists in the supply chain sector.
