Qatar Airways (QA) continues to set the highest standards of innovation, safety and customer service, having become the first airline in the world to pilot the documentation of the COVID-19 vaccine through the IATA e-passenger document "Digital Passport" for mobile phones. As more travelers resume their flights, QA will continue its commitment to reducing paperwork and providing a contactless, safer and smoother travel experience for all its passengers.
The national carrier of Qatar will begin this experiment in several stages, starting from July. This experiment will be applied to members of the hospitality crew returning to Doha from London, New York, Los Angeles, Kuwait, Paris and Sydney. Hospitality crewmembers will be able to upload documents proving that they have received the COVID-19 vaccination issued by the State of Qatar, along with the results of the COVID-19 test, to the digital passport application to verify their eligibility to travel. Upon arrival in Doha, the hospitality staff will be able to present the vaccination certificate to the health authorities and the passport office at the airport.
