The Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has announced the issuance of the Statistical Communication Strategy, which is intended to establish a joint mechanism between PSA – in its capacity as the official body entrusted with the provision of official statistics in the State of Qatar – and all statistical work partners inside and outside the State.
HE Dr. Saleh bin Mohammad Al Nabit, President of PSA, has affirmed that the Authority is working on finding a mechanism that enables it to continue developing its work sustainably, in order to keep pace with the latest developments inside and outside the country. Therefore, PSA has been keen to prepare a national strategy for statistical communication, which is the first of its kind at the regional level under its supervision as the central statistical apparatus that regulates statistics, as he said.
Dr. Al Nabit pointed out that the rapid development path in the State needs more accurate and comprehensive statistics to support decision-making and policy-making, monitor progress and evaluate impact and performance.
