HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the regular meeting held by the Cabinet at the Amiri Diwan yesterday. 

HE directed Their Excellencies the Ministers to work to provide the highest level of performance and services in government entities, especially in the health and education sectors; to work to promote economic growth; to facilitate the procedures for providing services to citizens and residents, and to work in a united team spirit.

After that, the Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda as follows:

First - The Cabinet examined the report of the Ministry of Public Health on the latest developments related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and decided to amend its decision issued in its regular meeting 37 of 2022 held on 10/26/2022 by lifting all previously imposed restrictions, except obligating all citizens, residents, and visitors to wear protective face masks when inside health facilities.

Second - Approving the initiation of the Government Excellence Award, which aims to enhance the quality of government performance, raise the quality of government services, and encourage government entities to compete in pursuing quality, development, and excellence in performance.

Third - Approving the appointment of a judge at the Qatar International Court (the Civil and Commercial Court) for a renewable five-year term and determining his remuneration.

Fourth - The Cabinet discussed the outcomes of the 42nd meeting of the Permanent Arab Post Committee and took the appropriate decision thereon.
