HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, chaired the regular meeting held by the Cabinet yesterday at the Amiri Diwan. 

At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet praised the speech delivered by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani – may God protect him – the day before yesterday, at the opening of the second ordinary session of the first legislative term, corresponding to the 51st annual session of the Shura Council. 

HE the Prime Minister directed Their Excellencies the Ministers to apply the directives of HH the Amir, which were included in the speech, by preparing the necessary plans and programs, as well as taking the necessary measures that ensure the precise implementation of HH the Amir's directives, in coordination between all the ministries and state bodies within the framework of the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.

Then, the Cabinet reviewed the report made by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regarding the latest developments related to COVID-19 and it took the following decisions:

1- Amending the Cabinet's decision issued in its regular meeting (19) for 2022 convened on May 18, 2022, mandating the activatation of EHTERAZ application on smartphones when leaving the house for any reason and verifying the green symbol of the application when entering closed public places, to mandate the application's activation and verification of the green symbol when entering health facilities only.

2- Maintaining the adherence to the Cabinet's decision issued in its regular meeting (36) for 2022 convened on October 19, 2022 obliging citizens, residents, and visitors to wear facemasks while visiting health facilities only, and mandating all employees and workers, whose jobs require being in closed offices or who communicate with clients, to wear facemasks during their working hours.

3- This decision will enter into force as of Tuesday, November 1, 2022 until further notice.
