News Details

Dr. Soha Al Bayat, Head of Vaccination at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), confirmed that those recovering from COVID-19 virus infection can receive the anti-virus vaccine after 14 days of recovery. She indicated that despite the presence of antibodies in the body as a result of infection and recovery from the virus, this does not prevent obtaining the vaccine to produce antibodies that may last longer than the natural antibodies.

Al Bayat stressed that the vaccine should not be administered to recovered patients who received plasma therapy until after 90 days of recovery. Moreover, for those who were infected with the virus after getting the first dose of the vaccine, she explained that they can get the second dose after 14 days of recovery, if they have not received the plasma, 21 days have passed since the first dose if the vaccine used in the first time was "Pfizer – Biontec", and 28 days if the vaccine used was "Moderna".
