Plan for Connectivity Between MME Operations CenteMr. Engineer Hamad Ahmed Al Muhannadi, director of customer service department and director of the Unified Operations Center of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), stated that an action plan has been drawn up for connectivity between the Center and a number of operation rooms in the entities operating in the State of Qatar. This is in order to coordinate and respond to all reports that fall within the competence of the Ministry or the shared competence, thus contributing to institutional connectivity among various sectors.
Mr. Al Muhannadi yesterday said that "the world-class Center has been established and this center provides decision makers with necessary information to deal with incident swiftly and promptly." He clarified that the goal of establishing the Center would be to provide a technological environment containing high-quality systems and software for connectivity with different entities whether they are governmental or non-governmental entities in the State.
He noted that these systems and software are divided into two sections. The first section is related to the early warning system designed for the environmental sector, and it is connected to developed monitoring devices distributed nationwide to detect radioactive substances, air quality and pollution. The second section is pertaining to geographic information systems that are specialized in locating spots and reasoning them via integrated database in the operation room.
