Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has launched consultation service via telephone in order to provide medical consultation services to patients.
This comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by the State of Qatar to combat and curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and preventative and precautionary measures to maintain public health.
The consultation service has been launched out of PHCC’s keenness to continue providing services in health centers for all patients whose previous appointments in some specializations have been cancelled. This particularly includes follow-up appointments for pregnant women, cancer patients, and people with chronic diseases as well as elderly patients who will be a priority and in line with scheduled appointments.
Through telephone medical consultation service, a patient will receive a text message reminder within 24 hours ahead of his/her scheduled appointment. And, the next day, a physician will communicate with a patient via telephone in order to provide required medical consultation, in an attempt to limit the number of patients inside health centers as much as possible.
