The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has launched the back to school health guidance, which has been prepared in collaboration with PHCC School Health Services and Communicable Diseases Control departments. This is in line with the requirements of maintaining the education process in the State of Qatar, preparing a safe return of students and staffs to schools, ensuring the health and safety of students and staffs and bolstering preventive and precautionary measures to combat the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The protocol has been prepared as a reference for all school departments, school nursing departments, school supporting teams, school health and safety officers and the school community as a whole. The protocol is concerned with explaining all precautionary measures needed to be implemented in schools to ensure that the school environment will become a safe and healthy environment to receive school students and staffs as well as ensuring that the precautionary and preventive measures and general guidelines issued for them will be followed.
In order to ensure the optimal implementation of the rules contained in the guidance protocol and in order to expand the school community's knowledge of the best practices to prevent and combat the infection, the PHCC held specialized training workshops for all categories of staffs in schools during 23-27 August 2020.
