Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced temporary changes to services to protect patients, visitors and staff in light of the increasing cases of covid-19". The Corporation explained, through its official account on "Twitter", that those changes are to allow new outpatient consultations only to be seen by the doctor face to face from today.
HMC confirmed that patients' appointments will be followed up and the doctor's consultation will be provided via phone calls. Phone counseling dates will be confirmed via text messages, and the doctor will call the patient on the same day as the date of the consultation. If the doctor decides that the patient needs to follow up face-to-face, this will be coordinated and the patient will be notified via SMS.
