The official gazette of the State of Qatar, in its issue No.11 of 2021, yesterday, Tuesday, published the text of Law No13 of 2021 on regulating car parking, issued by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.According to the official gazette, the provisions of the law shall apply to all users of public parking lots. They also shall apply to owners and users of private parking lots once they are used or rented for the public, in addition to owners of buildings and real estates and their users with respect to their parking lots.
The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) is in charge of determining the necessary spaces to use them as public parking lots and designating them for this purpose, in coordination with the relevant authorities, as well as managing and overseeing public parking lots. MME also has the right to outsource others for managing public parking lots.
