The Official Gazette, issued by the Ministry of Justice, in its 15th edition released yesterday, published the text of the Amiri Decision No. (51) of 2022, establishing and regularizing the Police Academy.

Article 2 of the decision stipulated that an academy named as "Police Academy" shall be established and shall be under the Ministry of Interior (MOI). It also stipulated that the Academy shall have moral personality and a budget annexed to MOI's budget. In addition, it shall become under the Minister’s supervision and shall have its flag and logo which usage specifications and regulations will be specified under the Minister’s decision.   

Article 3 of the decision stipulated the goal of establishing the Academy. The article indicated that establishing the Academy aims at preparing qualified and trained cadres, on the educational and professional levels, in legal and police areas, as well as other areas needed by the Ministry.
