Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Kuwari, the Director of Customer Management at the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), has affirmed that GRSIA is prepared for starting the implementation of the new Social Insurance Law on January 3, 2023 following the end of transitional period, clarifying that the current period is witnessing the preparation of operational systems, issuance of the necessary circulars, and coordination with employers. 

This came in a statement on the sidelines of the 52nd meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Bodies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, which began its works in Doha yesterday and will continue until October 5, 2022.

He added that during the next few days, an awareness campaign would be organized about the new law via introductory meetings in available media channels in order to educate employers on procedures for the implementation of the new law that experiences a difference in terms of applied percentages.
