Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) launched Cyber Security Educational Curricula in collaboration yesterday with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
The launch of the Cybersecurity Curricula was announced during a ceremony attended by HE Ms. Buthaina bint Ali Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, HE Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and HE Eng. Abdul Rahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Maliki, NCSA's President, in addition to a number of Their Excellencies ministers, undersecretaries, senior officials of the State, and several officials in brotherly and friendly states.
The Cyber Security Educational Curricula project aims to achieve various goals, chiefly introducing the concept of digital citizenship to the community in general and children and young people in particular, which is manifested in the responsible, ethical, and secure use of information and communications technology (ICT), in addition to educating the community on the internet risks, and training and qualifying its various segments to be familiarized with the basics of personal data protection, which also includes raising awareness on general concepts associated with cybersecurity and digital safety and preparing a future generation of Qatari youths capable of dealing with technological tools efficiently and safely.
