MOTC Signs Memo of Cooperation with LCI-Qatar

In the presence of HE Mr. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, the Minister of Transport and Communications, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC) signed yesterday a memorandum of cooperation with the Lean Construction Institute – Qatar (LCI-Qatar, which is a non-profit institution registered at the Qatar Financial Center). 

The memo aims at enhancing and developing the areas of joint cooperation in such a way that serves the engineering and construction industry in the State of Qatar, and enhance the building and construction process. This also includes supporting and adopting the best modern and effective methods in the sector of designing and constructing engineering projects, in a manner that increases efficiency, quality and productivity and eliminates any resource waste. 

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalid Al Thani, Director of Technical Affairs Department at MOTC and LCI-Qatar President Engineer Dr. Abdulla Yaqoub Al Sayed signed the memo. 

As per the memo, training opportunities in relevant domains will be made available for human resources and personnel working in fields of architectural design, building and construction, and infrastructure in the State of Qatar. This also includes conducting and supporting joint scientific researches for the best interest of all bodies concerned with enhancing and spreading awareness of lean design and construction practices.
