News Details The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), in collaboration with Deloitte Company, organized a webinar via videoconferencing titled "Imagine the Future: Developing a Digital Strategy" on Wednesday, 9 June 2021, in which a group of experts in the ICT sector participated.
This webinar has been designed particularly for leaders of digital transformation and all relevant employees from various government and semi-government entities in the country to discuss various topics related to the future of the Digital Government in the State of Qatar. Among the key points discussed during the webinar is the process of planning and executing for the future that requires setting a clear digital strategy, in addition to activating the process of developing and applying the strategy that begins with defining ambition and then understanding the advantages that would be gained by existing or new businesses.
During the webinar, the issue of how to develop a robust digital strategy, focusing on three key phases: Sense, Aspire and Decide was discussed. Several experts shared their thoughts and opinions in this regard. In addition, digital maturity was discussed, and internal and external factors of empowerment related to the digital strategy and ambition necessary for realizing the sought vision were set.
In her opening speech during the webinar, Ms. Aljazay Saleh Al Sulaiti, Acting Director of E-Government Programs and Standards, and Acting Director of E-Government Portal Department, said: "As digital leaders in the ICT field and as we are among the active players in the digital transformation area, we seek via this series of webinars to continue our journey towards digital innovation and to discover new possibilities of how to change workflow."
She added that the series of the webinars, which has started from March 2021 and will continue until November 2021, tackles several topics related to digital transformation that are extremely important for the future of the government and will eventually affect government departments and most importantly the lives of individuals.
