Ms. Mashael Ali Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Information Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), has said that developing a new strategy of Qatar Digital Government (2026) is underway that will be launched next year 2021.

She said that the performance of the Digital Government is beyond the expectation at the beginning of implementing works and setting the strategic plan of Qatar Digital Government 2020. She emphasized that above 1200 digital services have been launched. She pointed out that there are above 40 entities that have their mobile applications for their services.

Ms. Mashael Al Hammadi also noted that among the most notable achievements this year is the launch of a government portal for data "Qatar Open Data Portal," with the aim of facilitating the process of publishing government data for various entities on the internet. This is via a single national platform that is accessible to the audience and that is a high-quality platform.

Ms. Mashael Al Hammadi also said that the department in charge of operating the infrastructure affiliated with the Digital Government is working, in coordination with various government entities, to start the activation of their online services on self-service kiosks in different areas of the State. These kiosks are regarded as the most important interactive tools that enable the audience with its various segments to view services and request them automatically.
